Christian L. Lange

Christian Lange is a Belgian artist photographer, who resided in Cannes and is installed in Saint-Barthélemy. He photographed the island's famous Buckets from inside, a race that brought together the most beautiful sailing ships in the world. His piercing gaze on a privileged microcosm gave Cash Money Millionaire, a funny, pop and quite critical series. Then his travels made his talent explode. The colors are always very strong, a lot of orange reminding him of the sun of the south of France, but also of black, yellow and red, colors of the Belgian flag which he keeps riveted to the heart. In New York he created an important series: OrangYork, which marked the beginning of his artistic maturity, often marked by surrealism. It is impossible to summarize his work in three lines, but we cannot get around his recent Paréidolie series. A main subject, often a portrait and colors as if thrown into the air, which fall back in a thousand free elements forming a dazzling background, which one begins to examine in detail, to reveal what one wants to see there. Last detail which reveals the man, it offers each year some works to NGOs, mainly devoted to children or animals.
