Joris Nicole. She is Belgian, independent in the hairdressing sector, always ready to take up any challenge, at work as elsewhere. She lives in a wonderful region in the heart of nature, located in the Pays de Herve, not far from Liège.

Artist at heart since always with desires and artistic needs too long repressed by the whirlwind of life.

A few years ago, an inscription in a drawing and painting workshop caused a real click, a real passion. Pencils, pastels, brushes and very often fingers on paper and on canvas have become essential.

After the dry pastel, has imposed the oil pastel (colored sticks based on oil) then oil. An essay on the Nihonga technique and a project, working at tempera with natural pigments.

Emotionally touched by the beauty of nature, by the finesse of the light and the elegance of the colors it diffuses. She doesn't just go deeper into the techniques she masters, she always sets new challenges on herself, new ways and new materials to discover.

It is figurative art, always inspired by nature or sometimes cities; they are photos taken during trips, getaways or walks, but it is essentially at the stroke of heart that she slides her brushes on the canvas. Sometimes portraits made only in dry pastel.

Delicately, by subtly mixing the colors, it brings out the extraordinary nuances of the colors of the sky and of nature.
