Presentation
Born in Valenciennes, Jean-Pierre Lorand lives in Brussels. First an advertising designer, it is self-taught that he approaches his painting style. Classified painter of poetic reality by critic Stéphane Rey, he has exhibited since 1977, in Belgium and abroad.
Jean-Pierre Lorand plunges the viewer into a climate of poetry and serenity. With a consummate art of composition, he transports us in time and space. His works appear in numerous collections as well as in several illustrated books on Naive Art.
