Hilde Clarysse (Illy) was born in 1968 and has 2 children.
She was fascinated by modelling and drawing since her childhood. In 1983, Marinka Serru taught her the basic technics of ceramic. During her university studies and even during the period she lived abroad in the Far East, ceramic stayed her big passion and clay was her companion. Back in Belgium, after the birth of her son, she was coached by Katrien Van Lerberghe, Yvi De Backer and Jozef Van Mierlo.
Her works are figurative, with a touch of fairy tales.
