Serge Prowizur

Serge Prowizur is the son of the painter Maurice Moshé Prowizur, and was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He comes from a Jewish family and lived in South America, Belgium and France. In 1990, he got a degree in decorative arts in Brussels. He currently lives and works in Brussels where he devotes completely to his art: Painting.

Serge Prowizur's painting is pure, and has a style that oscillates between Impressionism and Expressionism. For the painter, the goal is to transcribe an emotion, to shout it through the brushes which he handles with automatism. The sensations are pure, and evoke a spontaneous and instinctive work. Where accuracy and meticulousness are not part of the artist's priorities. Prowizur's canvases are full of enigmas and of mysterious shapes, and are a call to the observer's intituition.

Serge Prowizur has exhibited his work in South America and Europe. He participated as well in an aunction for the benefit of an Israeli hospital situated in Haifa.
