Marcio Goldzweig began his artistic training in 1970 at the Modern Art Museum in Rio where he was taught by the artist, Ivan Serpa.
After having worked as an illustrator in the advertising field for two years, he joined Ecole des Beaux-Arts of UFRJ where he did a course in industrial design. Always on the look out for new supports, he worked in several printing, sculpture, ceramic and photography workshops.
In 1981, Marcio Goldzweig got settled in Sao Paulo and worked in visual communication for Indesign by David Etang. In 1984, he opened his own studio: Artegraphia, then in 1992 he decided to devote himself to illustration work solely. In mid 90's, he began working with computer tools.
He has carried out many individual projects and actively participates in collective actions in Brazil and elsewhere.
