Markora

Marco Silva aka Markora (his artist name) is a Brazilian Neo-Cubist painter, born in 1969 in Blumeneau, Brazil. A self-taught artist, he has been interested by art and creation since his childhood, and was encouraged by his parents.

He discovered his passion for great Cubism and Surrealism masters at the age of fourteen namely: Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. He drew inspiration from their work and one can sense their influence in his style and artistic orientation. He is inspired by the technical aspect of cubism and surrealism but is able to provide a modern touch through current events and the influence of our contemporary lives.

Since 2010, he changed his artistic approach and has been creating live works in front of spectators. Every evening, he transforms the stage into an open studio, at the heart of lively nights of the Camboriu beach in the South of Brazil and paints scenes that take place in front of him, which include DJ's, vinyl records, bottles of vodka in a paradise like setting . A prolific artist, he has created more than thousand works in the past five years, and has slowly forged an artistic technique and a unique signature.

Through his work, Markora doesn't only immerse the spectator in a party decor, he also shares a spiritual movement and the Brazilian soul through his emotions: rhythm, communicative energy and a zest for life.
