Rumen Rachev was born on April 15, 1956. Graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia. Works in the field of painting, print graphics, drawing, frescoes and design.
Rumen Rachev has been living and working in Germany for more than eighteen years.
- More than 35 solo exhibitions in the USA, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, England, Russia.
- His canvases are in the collections of the National Gallery in Sofia, the Sofia City Art Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art and the Library in New York, the Museum of New Orleans, museums in Bremen – Germany, Zurich – Switzerland and other public and private collections.
- The virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy invited him in 2000 to create the design of his CD album, that subsequently went to win the Brit Classic Music Award.
