Palolo Valdes is a sculptor Born in 1956 in Santiago, Chile. He currently lives and works in Chile. Palolo Valdes’ works recall the prehistoric age, as well as the Greek and Mesopotamian civilizations.The process he uses to make his pieces revolves around the central element: stone, which is the main element he uses for his works. The artist works on the material in order to depict strength and energy.The subject is only an excuse for the manual study, there is no predominant subject. Paolo Valdes follows his daily thoughts. His animals pieces combine particularly good with his work on stone, because it allows him to highlight the ferocity and the vitality of this living beings. Paolo Valdes has great technical skills allowing him to represent perfectly the volumes and the movement in his figures. He works as well the patinas in some of his bronze pieces. Always keeping a raw and primitive appearance, Paolo Valdes manages to create very rich and subtle pieces.
