Michelle Du Xuan is a photographer originally from the South of China, she currently lives in France. When she moved to Paris, she met an American photographer who introduced her to the world of fashion. was a revelation for the young artist. She then decided to start a career in fashion photography, and chose to use the name Michelle as her artistic name,in honor to the heroine of the film "Les Amants du Pont-Neuf", followed by a Chinese surname.
Michelle Du Xuan's pictures combine the codes of the French culture and those of the Chinese culture. The photographer pays special attention to the color treatment, even if she prefers black and white, because its simplicity allows her to represent better the feelings of her models.
Michelle Du Xuan's images have been published in numerous magazines such as Elle, Officiel, Harper's Bazaar and Numéro. The photographer works for famous brands such as Dior, Cartier,Bulgari, Harley Davidson.
