Presentation

Wang Na grew up in Chengdu and graduated from Beaux-Arts in Sichuan in 2007, then Beaux-Arts in Bourges. She lives between Paris and Chengdu. She uses painting as a creative expression.

In his universe, trees, mountains and rivers take on the very brilliant colors of oil paint, or are drawn with pencil lines, black and white contrasts. The elements of this nature imagined by the artist reveal themselves one behind the other, layer after layer, to appear to the public in extreme concentration. The public is stunned, suffocated. The artist thus reminds everyone of the immense power of nature.

The artist begins a dialogue with the world, she observes it and depicts it in all its force. She gives it back its place, writes new stories for it, gives it meanings in the process of creation. His creative process is like a journey. Wang Na thus integrates her emotions into the nature that she perceives as "absolute".

The creative act is not a concept, but a vital process. By depicting trees, mountains and rivers, the artist expresses his most intimate emotions in his experience of life in China and France. But she maintains a distance from the elements she represents. At this distance, there are many unknown elements, such as what is hidden behind trees, beyond mountains and in rivers. Wang Na invites us to explore them.
