Pipaluk Lake

Born in 1962 - Denmark

Pipaluk Lake works glass through a combination of strategy and tactics, engaging with the material in a pointed dialogue. Moving between matter, processes, will and experience, the artist experiments with many associations, in organic and tactile forms and overlays to suggest the substance and the life of glass.

Pipaluk Lake pushes the technique and mastery of glass in intensive experiments renewing the creative potential in fusing materials. She reveals glass in moments of magic in which the material takes on new forms allowing the discovery of a dream world beyond physical manifestations.

Pipaluk Lake's works seem inspired by a fleeting moment before committing to the heart of a ‘clinch’ with her material and her artistic intention, producing unique pieces of a non- conventional beauty.
