Frank Jensen

Born in 1956 - Denmark

Frank Jensen is a Danish painter, born in 1956.

Before becoming an artist, Frank Jensen had a surprising experience in the world of contemporary art. Indeed, he worked for galleries and exhibitions around the world. His work is today part of the Vilacasas foundation collection.

Frank Jensen has been living in Barcelona since twenty years where he develops abstract work, in which color is the most important element. He uses dark colors, by superimposing several layers in order to achieve a unique and deep texture.

All his paintings derive from a solid structure and a balanced composition that exudes harmony and beauty. Beyond the aesthetic appearance, these paintings want to tell us a story, and create sensations. Frank only paints the essential. His aim is to realize honest and well-thought work.

Frank Jensen can find his inspiration everywhere: in a piece of wall, a combination of forms, in symbols, light, people, in social or political facts, a poem or simply a reason which comes to mind.
