Claus Bojesen is a Danish artist born in 1948. He was insterested in painting since a young age and studied at the Royal Academy of Art and Architecture of Copenhagen where he graduated in 1974. He started working as a painter in 1971.

He has a surrealist and symbolist style from the 70s, marked by Jungian images and dreams. His encounter with Chinese artist Hsiao Chien, in 1982, gave a new direction to his art: calligraphy.

His trips to Greece, Turkey and to the Islamic countries inspired him a lot and oriented his work towards his favorite subjects; humanism, symbolism and spirituality.
Claus Bojesen is represented in several Scandinavian museums. He exhibits at the Grand Palais in Paris in 1984 and in 1986, at the Arte Fiera in Bologna in 1977 and in 1983 as well as in Gennes, Taiwan and Dortmund.
