Matilda

Matilda is a graphic designer, painter and illustrator from Barcelona. A graphic designer by profession, she has managed to forge a critical spirit and a sense of detail. With an insatiable energy, Matilda organizes drawing and painting workshops, and founded her own brand of merchandise and a collection of personalized books for children.

Matilda's brush transcribes a fragment of a happy moment and an instant of joy. Matilda is romantic, amusing, decomplexed, sometimes juvenile and always creative. Her style is a combination of comics strips, overlapped faces, grotesque expressions, eyes with disproportionate lashes, shimmering colors and a black line that outlines the countours. Her pieces belong to an "underground" style influenced by graffiti. Nevertheless, the warm colors and the sharp strokes forge a well awakened rebellion. Matilda has an extreme sensibility which is reflected in her paintings.

As an artist, Matilda participates in numerous national and European solo and group exhibitions since 2005. Throughout her career, her drawings have been displayed in pins, notebooks, t-shirts, postcards, tales, cups, Iphones and Ipad covers..... Her pieces are commanded or use for personalized décorations for individuals, stores and companies.
