Odile Decq

France Born in: 1955
Odile Decq started to study architecture in Rennes. A graduate architect in 1978, she created the agency ODBC in Paris in 1980, in association with Benoît Cornette.

The construction of the People's Bank of the West and of Armorique offers in Rennes (delivered in 1990), in collaboration with Peter Rice for the facade, their worth an international recognition immediate, rewarded by a dozen national and international awards.

In 1996, their agency received the Golden Lion of the architecture Biennale of Venice, and in 2001, she was chosen for the realization of the extension of the Museum of contemporary art in Rome was inaugurated in December 2010.

Guest Professor at the school of architecture in Grenoble in 1991, since, Odile Decq conducted in parallel with a teaching activity, particularly to the special school of architecture (ESA) since 1992, at the Bartlett (London) in 2000, at Columbia (New York) in 2001 and 2003, to the Kunst Akademie in Vienna in 2003, to the Kunst Akademie in Düsseldorf in 2004 and 2005.
Odile Decq is a commander of the order of Arts and Letters and a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.

Odile has been distinguished as "Creator of the Year 2013" at the Salon Maison & Objects.
