Biography

Translation in progress

Born in Paris in 1952, Christine is avid and disciplined sculptress and painter.
Her inspiration comes on feelings from people and shapes from the numerous countries she lived in.
From her native Britanny, where she practiced as a dentist nearby Lorient, remains the influence of Gauguin and latter on from the Malevich Paysannes paintings.
In the early 90's she moved to Montréal where she uncovered a new drive and passion for sculpture. While in Canada she encountered the native Inuit art which reflects in her popular Polar Bear series.
She mainly creates in clay but many of her pieces are cast in bronze and her latest "dancing bears "series are in composite resin.
She then moved to Mexico where she familiarized with the raku technic and other local technics, then moved to Hong Kong where she couldn't find the right conditions to continue practicing sculpture and decided to move to paintings.
She is now back in France, near Paris, where she can now practice both.
