Frédéric Auribeau is an interior designer based in Indonesia.
A global and talented artist, Frédéric, creates numerous original art pieces that he uses to add harmony to the space he has remolded and giving them a strong and unique identity. Organizing space in a daily occupation for Frédéric, it comes to him naturally to create a new 3 dimensional world in his latest art works.
With a strong and personal poetic vision, he gives life to butterflies preciously cut-out from different kinds of colored papers. He organizes them harmoniously according to colors and shapes thus creating a new and lively 3 dimensional world. But this world is not only an ode to nature and beauty. They are questions and interrogations revealed to us by his use of religious pictures dating from the 19th century.
He adds or hides them in his colorful compositions to question us and to call out to all spectators to discover the dreamlike universe of the artist.
These images have their roots in the 18th century meticulous and precious European reliquaries of that time. But they go beyond beauty and cultural heritage, they are answering and illustrating with great scale the deep need of our contemporaries to search and find new spirituality, strength, peace and hope.
