Jean-Luc Vallégeas

Born in 1964 - France

Jean-Luc Vallégeas is a French painter, born in Saintes in 1964. After having lived for a long time in Provence, he moved to Paris and lived there for 22 years. He took lessons in Fine Arts studios at Montparnasse. Since then, he has been exhibiting in several Parisian galleries. A painter at heart, he decided to renew ties with his roots and now paints in Saintes.

"I abandon the subject and lean towards an intimate atmosphere. Flat tints of color and material assemblies give an abstract twist to nature. Strokes are present everywhere, as they guide and highlight subjects. My painting lets out a fragile and ephemeral side, papers are torn, colors are hidden but somehow they reappear. Moments prevail". states Jean-Luc Vallégas.
