Ben Labarthe is a French visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer and painter. Once he obtained his degree in applied arts in 2003, he started a career as illustratror and graphic designer, gradually enlarging his universe to that of painting. He currently lives and works in Bayonne.
Ben Labarthe's heroes are reminiscent of those of cartoons. His style combines the codes of illustration, graphic design and drawing. His diverse and varied inspirations participate in the creation of an heteroclite and unusual artistic universe. But incredibly attraching. The simplicity of the trait, the innocence of his characters and the poetry of his scenes make the work of Ben Labarthe addicting and joyful.
In 2011, the artist won the Bayonne Festival posters and participated in the exhibition New Era Introducing Tour. He exhibits his work in the European capitals.
