Guy Thouvignon

Guy Thouvignon is a photographer. Born in 1959 in Paris, he lives on the Ile du Levant in the south of France. His work essentially centered around the human being alternates orders and creations, the main themes of which are the world of dance, the portrait, the nude. Guy Thouvignon is a cultivated photographer, jealous of cross references in the history of art. An unsuspected voyeur, he brings into play a certain science of bodies deployed in fixed spaces, places where particles of light vibrate, harmless or sumptuous but always overwhelmed by the weight of the human being. Poet, collector of the ephemeral, he cultivates the trace through a subjective gaze that makes the story unreal, affirming through this gaze his place as a non-objective witness. The artist exercises daily to seek what could be a contemporary look on the world, posing here and there in perpetual imbalance against the imposed aesthetic figures that he crosses with surprising lightness.
