Nicolas Cessieux

Nicolas Cessieux entered the world of graffiti in 2005, in 2008 he became a graphic designer and in 2011 he began drawing and painting in his studio putting to use his experience in these two forms of expression.

Although graffiti is supposed to be a form of expression free from any constraint and and system, the discipline has its own codes, and Nicolas's work is based on the hijacking of these implicit rules.

The number of graffiti that he or she has made, their size and their location make the fame of a graffiti artist. Of this idea is born a series of accumulations of tags, treated as mere signatures and written with a ballpoint pen on paper.

In his studio, Nicolas Cessieux tries to impose a system to his graffitis in order to develop a new style for his letters. He worked the wild style letters as a font, combining the precision of graphic design and the spontaneity of graffiti, and trying not to focus only on the five letters of his blaze.
