Diane Stolojan

Diane Stolojan is a painter and comedian, born in Paris, of Romanian and Yugoslav origin.

From an early age she was interested in different forms of arts, dance, music, painting, comedy ...

As a child, she studied at the Opéra de Paris to become "The little rat". She is passionate about drawing and painting, sells her first paintings at the age of 15, and climbs on stage at the age of 17.

After her literary baccalaureate, she took drama classes and quickly gained roles in theater, and in French, English and German films. At the same time she studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Munich.

She likes to mix artistic expressions, such as colors and materials on her canvases. A mixture of softness and violence, strength and fragility, an openness to difference. It is natural that she likes to give her paintings with titles of films, novels, or poems.

She paints watercolors, turns away the principles, adds gouache, passes from paper to cardboard, associates materials with it; Reference to the earth, the plants, the sea and the sky. The color is intense.

On canvas she wants to recreate the same fluid and deep prints, with acrylic and oil, and still associate materials, raw pigments ...

She exhibited watercolors at the "Kubaisky" gallery in Los Angeles in 1989 and at "Kunst im Glashaus" in Munich in 1991 ... And watercolors and gouaches for the first time in France at the "Portes Ouvertes à Asnières" in 2008, then At the Bastille Design Center in Paris 2009, "Painting in Difference" for the benefit of difference and disability.

She exhibits oils and mixed media on canvas at the Galerie Maison-près-Bastille in Paris with the artists of the International Academy of Arts and Letters, October 2016, and most recently at the International Contemporary Art Exhibition Art3f 2017 in Paris.
