Hélène Belin studied Fine Arts in Clermont-Ferrand where she was born, and in Paris. She graduated from the ENSAP Paris. She worked as a visual arts teacher for several years. Hélène Belin paints, but she also produces prints and murals. She lives and works in Paris.

For the years (1996 to 2006) she devoted herself to print-making and to the production of limited-edition fine art books with the Atelier Lacouriere & Frelaut in Montmartre, Paris. Today, she pursues her pictorial practice with a non-figurative tendency and continues to produce prints. She has regularly personal and group exhibitions in France and abroad. She has won numerous awards: Ville de Paris (murals) in 1995, the Corot Prize (Graver Maintenant) in 2001, the European Prize for Print-making (Atelier Moret) in 2009.

Her works are part of private and public collections, including the collection of the National Library of France in Paris, the collection of the Library of Alexandria, Egypt, the City of Chamalières, Médiatheque de Cambrai, Ville de Paris.
