Marcus Grus was born in Paris 11 in 1963. Marcus Grus began to draw and paint when he was young. At fifteen, he made his first drawings and paintings in Paris. An engineer by training, he also studied painting and music in Paris. Inspired by the great painters, such as Raphael, le Lorrain, Turner, Renoir, Braque, Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, the first canvases of Marcus Grus focus mainly on the games of color and graphics with a very marked preference for painting with oil. He experimented with several techniques of oil painting and starting from the works of Lorrain, Renoir, Cezanne, and Braque. Through the study of the works of these masters, Marcus Grus developed his own type of cubism by researching hypercubism (cubism with relief). Marcus Grus seeks to express the overall dynamism in each of his paintings. After exhibiting in Paris and in the provinces, he also exhibited in New York.
