I - since my beginnings in watercolor - oriented my painting on the work on the motif for a refined representation of reality with very quickly a work on plasters and pronounced impasto in oil and acrylic. Always attracted by the painting of "gesture and chance", I have for my creations a need for rapid execution with the same paste for mixtures of colors on the table.

I am currently carrying out original work on matter and painting. They are based on a search for abstract colored touches where the line, the shape or the hollow meet. The supported reliefs create plays of light and contrasts that the gloss varnish further enhances. My paintings can be interpreted as landscapes in relief or even simplifications of objects, of which only the color code or the colored imprint remains. Thus some paintings are the result on bands or shapes of the colorful mixture of an object, a landscape or an observed scene.

Mixture of ocher and acrylic, my creations combine woodwork, plaster and relief painting supported by a varnish finish. On a medium plate of varying thickness and sizes, I glue cut pieces of wood. These wooden elements are simply split in the grain of the wood, to obtain random shapes depending on the density of rings, the presence of knots or sometimes micro - defects. I then apply a very adherent coating, a mixture of pigment and sand and binder (modeling). Then comes the structuring of the color with acrylic applied with a spatula. Very instinctive and quickly executed, the mixture of colors is based on overlays of complementary colors, vibrations of tones and vivid values.

"Bande color" are assemblies of wooden slats of all different shapes arranged in close series. The research focuses on the application and mixing of acrylic paint, to produce color vibrations. Wood planks can be punctuated with points and shapes. The thickness of the blade and the play of cast shadows increase the perception of contrasts, and give the impression that the color floats on the surface.
