Morne

Born in 1980, Morne is a "Street graffiti artist", inviting the viewer on a journey into a dreamlike, multicolored and abstract world. Mural artist, installation builder, painter, screen printer and illustrator, his work is as meticulous as it is gigantic. In a permanent search for materials, his works are influenced by the primitive arts, the history of ancient myths, the collective unconscious, and the concepts of the golden ratio and the mathematical Fibonacci sequence.

He discovered graffiti in the early 1990s through skate, electronic music and hardcore punk cultures. It was in 2000 that his wall lettering work began to take a more successful direction, influenced by the European scene on the one hand, and the "wildstyle" lettering of the American continent on the other.

During this decade he multiplied colorful mural productions, but also associative and voluntary collaborations for the organization of events and the graffiti press. Following a first trip in 2006 to write an article on Peruvian graffiti, he remained to live for two years in the capital, Lima, where he continued day after day fresco on fresco, integrating the oldest and most recognized crew in the country: DMJC.

Writer "wildstyle" confirmed arriving in the world final of the contest "Write 4 Gold 2012" organized by the brand Molotow Belton, he joined the same year the collective of artists and associative self-managed place La Gare XP. From then on his work launches into the exploration of "freestyle", where the rigidity of the letters is erased in favor of a total freedom of colors, materials and movements, leaving room for the creative accident, thus reconnecting with

the limitless imagination of childhood.
