Born in 1981 and holding a double diploma (Beaux Arts/Paris and Arts Décoratifs/Paris), Luc Chopplet has already had his works presented in numerous exhibions. Luc Chopplet is a teacher at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Luc Chopplet's approach relies on a first step in the production of each work that is usually accidental or intentionally irrational. Then, as a counterpoint, comes another stage of rigorous work reorganizing the composition: the artist works on the form, which interests him and that he declines in recurrent motifs like the vegetal and the organic. Drawing is very important and a prerequisite of the production of the painting.
