Olivier Sultan

Born in 1964 - France

Sculptor and curator Olivier Sultan was born in Paris. He lived, in Africa for 15 years (Zimbabwe, Southern Africa), and this period of his life had a great influence on his work, as he says himself.

Olivier Sultan creates unusual "fetish" sculptures inspired by childhood memories and imagery, made of recycled materials and unconventional, surrealist assemblages playing with the contrasts between ordinary and precious materials (buttons and gold, etc.)
