Olivier Passieux

Olivier Passieux: Born in 1973 in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, France. Lives and works in Arcueil. He has made personal exhibitions at the Ouizeman Gallery in Paris “Héliotropisme” in 2010 and “Circonscrire l'Infant” in 2007 and at the Iragui Gallery, Moscow. "Drawings and paintings" contemporary art center of Lacoux in 2004. Olivier Passieux participated in the collective exhibitions "Propos d'Europe" invitation of Marc Desgrandchamps at the Hippocrène Foundation Paris 2008 and at the Karolyi Foundation Budapest 2008, "Psychoplastie" in the Maison des Arts de Créteil in 2006, “Leitmotive” at the Maison des Arts de Grand Quevilly in 2006. He tries above all to implement the laws of uncertainty, thus reviving a certain modernist ideal. By deconstructing the method, Passieux focuses on the time of painting or sculpture which reveals the transitory character of the drawing, the ambiguity of repentance, the sensitivity of the material, the beauty of a gesture.
