Nancy Lopez

Nancy Lopez is an artist who first used watercolor, for the softness and fragility of its nuances, the precision and dexterity of the know-how required in its execution. Then, she discovered all the richness of oil paint which she now uses exclusively. She appreciates its creamy and sensual texture, the multiple effects of working with the material and the assembly of colors. She is an artist who finds in nature, its elements, its movement, most of its inspirational motifs, even if she sometimes feels frustrated at not being able to combine sound with light, reproduce the breath of the wind in trees or the rustle of water in the breeze. Seeking a new frontier between the natural and the abstract, she relies on a luminous palette to animate paintings where she plays with colors. She is currently experimenting with a mixed technique of oil painting and collage. His favorite pictorial currents are Impressionism, Fauvism and Pointillism.
