Véronique Lafont

Training - Studies of visual arts in Bordeaux-3 and Paris-1 Véronique Lafont is a young artist living in Burgundy near Avalon. At first glance, his works exude an energy and a communicative joy. Painting resolutely non-figurative, but where nature is present through the play of colors and a particular luminosity. The artist opens the doors to a personal poetic universe where you have to surrender in a labyrinth of light and colors. "Dear Coloring", "Vegetalis Volubilis", "Philochromia", such are the titles given to his paintings. "It is from the landscape that my paintings, in acrylic and oil, matured slowly over several months, borrow their vocabulary: mineral aspect, aquatic, blurry, reflections, contrast of lights. Surrounded by photographic or scribbled notes, I bring together fluidities, impasto, repentance, coverings, scrapings, touches. My paintings with refined colors and textures, are addressed to the motionless traveler whose keen senses translate an aptitude for silence. "
