Presentation

Living and working between Paris and Clermont-Ferrand, self-taught artist Kurar joined the circle of Street Artists in the 90s.

At first, Kurar manipulated paint bombs and worked volume and color on 3D. His journeys and experiences has made his work and techniques evolve. Thus, the artist used the techniques of graffiti and collage before focusing exclusively on stencil.

Through his work, the artist shares without a filter but always with great humor, his doubts, his anger and questions. The representation of childhood, a symbol of innocence, allows him to approach lightly the issues of war, religion and a society of consumerism. Kurar loves to address actual topics and pushes the viewer to step back in his vision of society and the excesses of a system that neglects emotions, pushes to individualism and to profit without limit.

Since his solo exhibition at the Onega Gallery in Paris in 2013, Kurar started a series of exhibitions in galleries and getting orders from all over the world.
