François Lunven, born in Paris on September 11, 1942 and died in the same city on October 19, 1971, is a French engraver, designer and painter. François Lunven passes his baccalaureate in philosophy, does an upper class in drawing at the Lycée Claude-Bernard in Paris, at the same time as many trips abroad. He was introduced to the techniques of engraving at the Lacourière-Frélaut workshop, with Jacques then Robert Frélaut. In 1964, he married Hélène Delafargue, with whom he had a son, Tristan. In 1965, he met Jean-Pierre Velly at the Lacourière-Frélaut workshop. The two artists bond with a solid friendship. In 1970 began a lightning friendship with Bernard Noël whom François Lunven had just met. He had his first and only personal exhibition during his lifetime, at the Transart gallery (Amadeo Sigfrido), in Milan (catalog). In 1971, on the eve of his second solo exhibition at the ARC department of the modern art museum of the city of Paris, François Lunven committed suicide by defending himself.
