Valentin Capony was born in Lyon in 1990. In 2008 he began his studies at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art and Design in Saint-Etienne in France where he graduated from DNAP in 2011.
In 2012 he leaves in China in The framework of a Bilateral exchange to study at the Great Scool of Fine Arts in Nanjing. This exchange will allow him, among other things, to learn about engraving and philosophy as well as Chinese writing.
In 2013 he resumed his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels in option engraving in the workshop of Thomas Amerlynck where he obtains his Master 2. He is currently working between France and Belgium.
In 2017, he joins Academia Belgica and wins the first Komask Prize for Young European Engraving.
