Nicolas Pigeau

Nicolas Pigeau is a visual artist fascinated by matter in general, and by plastic in particular that he will model, push into its limits, to finally extract its own color. For years, this plastic, it will melt it, taper it, glue it, butcher it, to collect it in formwork or to stage it using light. Entering a phase of patient contemplation, he embarks on a photographic work aiming to bring out the elegance of the colors and the lines of a material however denigrated. The photographs of these ephemeral compositions, reproduced on recycled paper, will serve as a basis for the invention of his own color. It is with a chisel that Nicolas Pigeau now selects and cuts his colors and it is with an extreme virtuosity of collage that he composes his paintings. Lives and works in Bordeaux. Trained in visual arts and styling. Aroa presents it for the first time in the Paris region.
