Pedro Richardo

Pedro is a painter / illustrator based in Nantes. Child of the 80s, Pedro swims early in an artistic environment, oscillating between skate imagery, the world of US comics, 20th century painting to 90s graffiti. As a painter, it is natural that 'he turns to the practice of muralism. Pedro confronts colors, shapes and materials like words in order to create a unique language. His universe populated by a bestiary, where the animal is in turn a human figure and man an animal, he delivers to the spectators his unconscious zoo, between abstraction and figuration. His work, mixing classical painting techniques and the practice of spray, depicts men through the animal figure in the manner of a fabulist. Raw and naive in appearance, under an uninhibited feature, his images provoke a harmony in tension, balance on the fault, where words and motifs play in turn.
