Maxime Foulon

Born in 1987 - France

Maxime Foulon is a French artist born in 1987. He quickly wanted to convey ideas through images. At a crossroads of several artistic movements, his artwork is difficult to classify, ever changing between expressivity, dreamlike distortions, unfinished works, etc. When man is at the heart of creation, its truths are unveiled, selfishness, refusal of difference, pessimism... Maxime Foulon develops vibrant visual reflections carrying on what we are.

What better way than to portray a series organized in acts & scenes to speak of themselves improperly placed on the front of a stage? Usually working materials like wax, paper and cardboard in large format, most of the work Maxime Foulon will hold here will be in a smaller format articulated into a series: finesse and expressivity of line for a caution against navel gazing the egocentrism that grows from inhumanity to monstrosity. The artist does not wish to represent the modern man but rather to depict the transformation of man to instinctual animal.
