Ghislaine Portalis

Born in Vendôme, France. Lives and works in Paris and in the Lot et Garonne. The intimate is his favorite subject which is expressed through drawings, notebooks, paintings, lace, video, unusual objects in a contrasting black and pink playing in a universe between softness and violence. It is inspired by 18th century engravings, encyclopedias by Buffon, Diderot and d'Alembert, in the Enlightenment. After a national diploma at the École des Beaux-arts in Dijon, she taught at the École des Beaux-arts in Mâcon and at the École des Beaux-arts in Beaune.
