Olivier Grunewald

Olivier Grunewald is part of the great lineage of explorer photographers. He began his career in mountain sports, following high-level climbers at the end of a rope. Inspired by the American school, those of the landscapers, Ansel Adams, David Muensh, he undertook a long work across North America then Australia, making his photos in the large format camera. Photographer Galen Rowell, for whom light transcends the subject, particularly influences. Since then he has continued to pursue this quest for magical, intense lights to magnify his subject.
