Maurice Maubert, born in Nice in 1960, is a French cartoonist, painter, sculptor and singer.
In his work appear abstract and colorful forms, born of pigments, earth, acrylic. He experimented with various techniques and expressions: paintings, collages, drippings, sculptures, installations, and made paintings that burst into reality, creating a symbolic and imaginary space... From time to time, he returned to figuration. A series of solo exhibitions in Nice and in the region have made him known in the art world.
The Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art of Nice (Mamac) acquires some of his works for the background of local contemporary artists.
