Presentation

It was at the age of 18 that Yolande Mazevet discovered that traveling is her passion. With her backpack and her camera, she travels to Israel, China, Tibet, Germany, California...

It is in Berlin, in 1989, that the writing on the wall "Un jour viendre le mur tombera" (The day will come when the wall will fall) resonates in her and will give a direction to her future artistic approch but also to her career as a psychiatry nurse. The walls as symbols of injustice, the walls we tear down, our own walls that limit us.

Yolande Mazevet's unconscious motivation denounces through her artistic approach the idea of imprisonment, whatever its causes : political, mental illness... The wall that falls brings hope. For all the walls that
separate us and for the ones we put up on our own paths. Yolande Maze's works are historical and they make us think.
