Presentation

It was in 1989 in western Paris that Georges Bouey, alias MAD 325 began his career as an artist. It is under the pseudonym of MAD, graffiti of the first hours, nocturnal expeditions and first color frescoes along the railroad tracks, that it makes its first weapons.

In 2000, he created the collective "Full Color" on Bordeaux. This will lead to many collaborations until 2007 (Dran, Seth, Kern, MAC, Lek, SAC, Reso ...) through "monumental" frescoes throughout Europe.

In 2004, edition of a book dedicated to the achievements of the collective, noticed by the brand "Tribal Gear".

However, after several years of significant achievements, between the management of ego and the beginning of a challenge, leads him to distance himself from the middle of his beginnings.

The carelessness and the spirit are no longer there. The years have passed. He does not know it yet, but he is already tapped with a deeper need. He finally cuts the bridges with his "natural" artistic milieu and enters "workshop", like others in "religion". Determined not to deny anything, but without having found the way.

Between life experience and personal drama, he traces his path. (It is at this period that he attaches 325 to his nickname in tribute to his grandfather Georges Enel, escaped and deported in 1943 to Rawa-Ruska Stalag 325).

Today, Georges Bouey, is not far from finding the "grace".

Of course, the tools are not the same, the supports themselves have changed. And that's good.

Not only did he sacrifice nothing to the immediacy of the gesture of the early spirit, but he managed to sublimate his approach to art. He became an artist in the first sense of the word, before being an artist of...

And this path to self-realization is not complacent.

His works may seem abrupt, even borrow from some violence. The fabrication of his style, this trait, these lacerations certainly reveal the crudity of human nature, but without disregarding the emotions of human desire and their fleeting impulses of gentleness and sensitivity.

Whatever one feels, the works of Georges Bouey have a presence, an emotional charge that is very real.

Powerful works, whose photographic neutrality, unfortunately can not account. But after all, is not that the art? This thing that escapes us and yet we are so strangely familiar.
