Presentation

Born in France in 1970, Zedblek is a self-taught artist: painter, photographer and draftsman.
After studies of philosophy, a DEA on the lived time, he obtains a Multimedia Master of the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Paris. Very early, he experimented with drawing and painting. However, he devotes himself to writing, becomes a screenwriter, a multimedia project manager and then a teacher.

In 2012, the visit of the Museum of Art Brut Lausanne is for him a revelation. The singularity of each artist upsets him. He then starts drawing, uses felting pens and sketches everything that speaks to him in black ink.

His passion for the history of art led him to return to painting. His technique in acrylic, offers him the opportunity to question works of the past, to appropriate them by giving them a new meaning. Zedblek interprets a master's painting as others do for Nature. In his own way, he takes up the history of art: opposing styles, transposing artistic movements, playing techniques.

Revisiting the past to better reflect the tide of time, he questions the existence with irony. But his humor betrays a certain human fragility. This sensitive and visual emotion is like a poetic language, imbued with unexpected shapes and colors.
