Gysin Broukwen defines his Art as CoLL'ArT. My approach is based on an artistic view of Leonardo da Vinci as the main promoter of the Renaissance in his time. The link with his work is to try at my humble level to place myself as a precursor that he was in the field of painting, science, astronomy ... I would like to weave invisible links between his works or writings like the Codex and my creations. Leonardo da Vinci used drawing and painting to transcribe his vision of the world. My artistic approach is the CoLL'ArT which uses the technique of collage of images. The XXI century is the century of the image in all its forms, physical or digital. The compositions that I will present will have as their starting point an evocation of the works of Leonardo da Vinci but will be neither an illustration nor a historical view. For example Leonardo da Vinci used cryptology in his writings. This theme is at the heart of many debates and issues in the world at the moment. I would like to create compositions on the theme of coding information for example. His works ask us questions about our representations of the portrait, about the figurative. By contrast, my research will revolve around a work on space, the abstract by taking up certain themes that he tackled: religion, anatomy, the body, mathematics ... This artistic expression uses techniques collage from magazine images cut out then assembled to create a visual 2D sculpture either through a composition on a predefined surface. The CoLL'ArT is a metaphor for life, ephemeral, fragile, in patchwork. Through tests, assemblies and disassemblies, Gysin Broukwen follows several stages of creation until obtaining a mysterious alchemy that emerges from the images and creates another, sometimes close to 3D. Over the past 20 years, Gysin Broukwen has done a lot of film editing, which is the rhythmic sequencing of moving images. His Art deals with the relationship of Art to time and space. Gysin Broukwen was open to many artistic movements and artists such as Hans Arp or Richard Mortensen. Constructivism, Surrealism, Op-Art, Narrative Figuration, Abstract Art and Art Brut influence his creation more or less consciously. It is often the material that guides the artist: the choice of images used will determine the resulting theme. He is particularly interested in the multivocal emotion aroused by the collages and compositions of his works where the abstract fits into the figurative itself inserted in Art Brut. For Gysin Broukwen, CoLL'ArT has the lightness of a feather and the permanence of amber, it is an image sculpted on Chronos' coat. It generates polysemy, mixing abstraction and instantaneous narration.
