Tom Nelson

Born in 1990 - France

Tom Nelson is the pseudonym of a street artist who lives and works in rennes, France. Growing up in a family of artists, he has always had a special artistic sensibility. Tom Nelson started to draw when he was a kid and discovered street art on the walls of Rennes. Intrigued by the inscriptions and symbols, he started making graffiti himself.

He discovers abandoned industrial sites and buildings, railroads and this way his paintings get new supports : stones, metal, windows, plastic) and he also brings his canvases in these places and integrates them in the works, convinced that they can get impregnated by their atmosphere.

In his studio, Tom Nelson pursues a more aesthetic and lasting approach. In his canvases he doesn't wish to pursue classic graffiti, but to reinterpret it through his different influences.
