Griffin76

Self-taught artist and graphic designer, Griffin76 first came on the scene of Street Art in 2006, by revealing is eagle head character.

Fascinated by mythology, the 50’s and 60’s “pulp magazines”, the imagery of Soviet propaganda posters and 60’s 70’s comics, Griffin76 is a melt of theses influences. Identifying himself with a mythological animal, the griffon, watchman of mysteries, and with American masked superheroes, he throws a different and amused look on the world surrounding him.

Griffin76’s works are inspired from visual elements drawn on graphic art, advertising or collective pictorial unconscious. Griffin76 expresses himself on varied mediums as canvas for original works, serigraphs on paper, numeric print on aluminium, or sandwich panel. All the editions are numbered out of very small series.

Always searching for new influences, Griffin76 spreads through the 30’s poster designer as Cassandre or the propaganda posters for his latest series.
