Michel Politzer was born on August 24, 1933 in Biarritz. The torments of History ravaged his childhood by taking his father, Georges Politzer, French philosopher and resistance fighter, shot in 1942 at Mont-Valérien, then his mother MaÏ Politzer, a French activist and resistance deported who died in Auschwitz in 1943. He studied at Les Beaux. -arts in Paris. Graphic designer, he works for Denoël and Robert Laffont editions. In 1963, he was the illustrator of Louis Pergaud's work at the Mercure de France, then of the poetry collection “Adieu la lune” by Alain Bosquet at Calmann-Lévy. In 1968, he illustrated “Robinson Crusoe's sketchbooks” published by Cuenot-Seghers and republished by Gallimard. This book written by Annie, his wife will obtain numerous awards and will be translated into more than 10 languages. That same year, he moved with his family to Morbihan.
