Julie was born in 1969 in La Tronche in the Isère department. From the age of 5, she entered an art studio in Grenoble. From then on, this passion for painting will no longer leave her. Continuing her apprenticeship at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts with the Arcabas painter, Julie completed her training in Paris, at the Martenot school.
His main activity today is to respond to orders from individuals and companies, working on textile design, original greeting cards, or decoration of premises or restaurants.
Also, in collaboration with the ECEMA (business school), Julie runs courses in art history and applied arts to young students.
Since 2005, she exhibits several times a year (personal and collective exhibitions). She likes to work browns, blacks and blues and she plays with the light to bring luster to her canvases.
Today, she paints mainly in oil and knife to obtain a certain modernity in her paintings. In constant search for a depth, her emotion is born with and through light; imprint of softness and strength.
In love with the skies and the seas, Julie reinvents them according to her sensitivity. Her painting, often monochrome, is inspired by a reality but her journey is at the heart of his imagination. By suggesting, she allows our thoughts to escape and gives new life to the pictures. The absence of color gives an intense presence to light colored touches, even to white… In constant search for new materials, she tries to purify her work more and more.
“I constantly go to the quest for the abstract and the beautiful and thus progress on a path strewn with pitfalls but bearer of true happiness! "
“The canvases speak for themselves and I escape for hours in the light!".
