Emmanuel Fleury is a sculptor artist. It is in a corridor that he realizes his first works then today in a cellar. But not just any hallway, not just any cellar, but those adjoining his living room.
Emmanuel was born in 1971 in Paris and he is a hairdresser.
His interest in sculpture came to him by chance when he was confronted with a sculpture made by a friend. She allows him to touch it and when she finds the result, she offers him a bag of soil.
Self-taught, the adventure begins.
Impregnated by the history of humanity, his work speaks of society, oblivion, genocides, slavery, racism, death but also hope, hope.
Free, Emmanuel simply goes from figurative to abstract without constraint. His work resides in matter, balance, and movement thus defying the rule by bringing out in an extraordinary way the lightness and movement of his works in opposition to the power and the static impression of culture in general.
His favorite themes are humans and animals. His vision of the animal world is innovative and recognizable. His truncated achievements are without brake or limit. Our imagination does the rest.
Emmanuel makes us feel a sincere emotion without instructions.
